The weather can change quickly in the Himalayas, so pack clothes you can layer: lightweight base layers, warm mid-layers like fleece or down jackets, and a waterproof outer shell to keep you dry. Don’t forget a warm hat and gloves for chilly mornings and evenings.
Bring sturdy, well-broken-in hiking boots with good ankle support, plus moisture-wicking socks to keep your feet happy. Comfortable trekking pants and quick-dry shirts will keep you moving easily. For sunny days, a wide-brimmed hat, UV-blocking sunglasses, and sunscreen are essential.
A comfortable daypack for your daily needs, trekking poles to ease your steps, and a reliable water bottle with purification tablets or filter will be your best friends on the trail. A good headlamp with spare batteries is handy for early starts or campsites.
Carry your passport, visa, trekking permits (we’ll help arrange these), travel insurance info, and enough Nepali rupees in small notes for tips and purchases in remote areas. Photocopies of your documents are always wise.
